Nicky qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2005 from Southampton University Hospital. She worked in the NHS from 2005 to 2012 at Southampton General Hospital.

In 2008 Nicky joined Helen Mehrtens working in the community, treating private patients at Hart Leisure Centre. The Clinic has been very well supported by local GPs and Orthopaedic Consultants from Clare Park Hospital and the Hampshire Clinic. Over the past 5 years Nicky has continued to develop the clinic into a busy practice working with her colleagues.

Nicky’s special interests are in spinal conditions and she is currently near completion of her diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine, overseen by SOMM – for more information see https://www.sommcourses.org/courses/somm-diploma/

Nicky is committed to the importance of treating patients with the best rehabilitation programme for their condition, with additional hands on treatment to speed up the healing process. Nicky is also a registered acupuncturist. For more complex programmes she has software to provide printed worksheets and links to online videos of your personalised exercise programme.

Nicky has two children aged 13 and 11 and enjoys supporting them in their various sporting interests. Nicky is a qualified tennis coach and also enjoys running, cycling, badminton and skiing.
